Masthead Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2025

Purpose

This page lists Investivea’s editorial leadership and key contributors and explains how we staff, attribute, and update our journalism. It complements our Editorial Policy, Ethics Policy, Fact-Checking Policy, Corrections Policy, Ownership & Funding, and Unnamed Sources Policy.

Who appears on the masthead

We include:

  • Editorial leadership (Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor)
  • Section editors (Markets, Personal Finance, Investing Strategies, Fintech/Crypto)
  • Staff reporters, writers, data journalists, producers
  • Contributing editors and columnists (clearly labeled)
  • Standards, copy, and fact-checking leads
  • Contact points for reader feedback and corrections

Freelancers with one-off contributions are credited on article pages rather than listed here.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Publisher — Oversees business strategy and revenue operations; no involvement in story selection or copy approval.
  • Editor-in-Chief — Final editorial authority; approves sensitive investigations and corrections of record.
  • Managing Editor — Day-to-day newsroom operations, planning, and staffing.
  • Section Editors — Assign, edit, and sign off on vertical content; ensure compliance with standards.
  • Copy Chief — Style, clarity, legal/standards checks; headlines and display copy.
  • Fact-Checking Lead — Verification workflows and documentation prior to publication.
  • Data & Research Editor — Methods, datasets, replicability; visualization standards.
  • Audience & SEO Lead — Discoverability that never overrides accuracy or reader value.
  • Visuals Lead — Charts, illustrations, and rights-cleared imagery.
  • Standards Editor — Ethics escalations, conflicts of interest, and corrections.

Byline & attribution standards

  • Articles carry individual bylines (staff or contributor) and an editor of record.
  • Collaborative pieces list all materially contributing reporters.
  • “Investivea Staff” is reserved for unsigned newsroom statements or aggregated explainers reviewed by the Standards Editor.
  • AI systems are never listed as authors (see “AI and automation”).

Contributor vetting

Regular contributors are vetted for expertise, conflicts of interest, and prior work. Each agrees in writing to:

  • our Ethics Policy,
  • disclosure of financial conflicts (e.g., positions in covered securities/crypto assets),
  • embargo, attribution, and source-protection rules.

Sourcing & conflicts of interest

  • We prioritize on-the-record sources. Anonymous sourcing must meet thresholds in our Unnamed Sources Policy and requires Editor-in-Chief approval.
  • Staff and regular contributors must disclose material financial interests in companies/assets they cover and may be recused from related coverage.
  • We do not accept gifts, travel, or compensation that could influence coverage. Sponsored content is labeled “Sponsored” and kept siloed from editorial decisions.

Fact-checking & review workflow

  • Original reporting is verified by the writer and reviewed by a section editor and, when applicable, a fact-checker before publication.
  • Data journalism includes a “Methods” or “Data sources” note when feasible, with links to public datasets or a summary of proprietary sources.
  • Financial tools (e.g., calculators, rate tables) follow a documented QA checklist owned by the Data & Research Editor.

Corrections & updates

  • Substantive errors trigger a correction appended to the article with timestamp and a plain-language explanation, per our Corrections Policy.
  • Clarifications and routine updates are labeled “Update” with a timestamp.
  • Readers can request corrections at info@investivea.com or via our Contact page.

AI and automation

  • We may use AI tools for research assistance, transcription, or headline ideation. AI-generated text is not published unedited. Every sentence we publish is reviewed by a human editor for accuracy, tone, and originality.
  • If automation meaningfully contributes to an article (e.g., templated rate tables), we add an Editor’s note describing the human review process.
  • We run plagiarism checks on externally sourced copy and AI-assisted drafts.

Escalation & reader contact

If your message concerns legal, safety, or market-moving claims, mark the subject line URGENT.

Maintenance of this page

  • The Managing Editor reviews the masthead quarterly and after material staffing changes.
  • Additions/removals are logged in the Update log with dates and brief reasons.
  • Each name links to an author page containing a bio, coverage area, disclosure statement, and recent work.
